The Rap Battle
By Amanda Miller

What Happened At The Rap Battle

On September 9,2016 some of the 5th grade boys started a Rap Battle against the girls because the girls were interrupting the boys recess game. It was during the 5th graders recess at Glenridge Elementary School. Sara L. and Ceci say that the boys were violating their human rights by not letting them play with them. Most of the people that were participating were Sara L, Allison, Breyanna and the most important people of all Alex J/Big Trouble and Tatum/T-Dizzle! T-Dizzle says that the girls weren’t even Rapping they were dancing.

What Other People Think About The Rap Battle
Tatum/T-Dizzle quotes,“It was very interesting and nobody really knew what was going to happen but everybody went with the flow and had fun.The girls were trash because they were plagiarizing and just trying to be funny by dancing, not rapping and trying to waste the boys recess. I think the boys were hipped and actually rapping. We were also more entertaining. WE WERE SPITTIN STRAIGHT BARS! Next time I would add some insults because it was just talking and if we add insults it would make the person actually feel bad.Next time i would still keep it at the rocks but if we had to move somewhere else we would most likely go to a place on the black top.”
DeMaury quotes,” I saw the girls ganging up on the boys and wanted to help because i’m a really good rapper. Bruh”
Alex J/Big Trouble quotes,” I think it was fun because the boys worked well together to come up with some good raps. The girls on the other hand were OK but were plagiarizing the boys raps and doing more dancing then rapping. WE WERE SPITTIN STRAIGHT BARS!”

What I Think About The Rap Battle
Even though I wasn't there, I still think I have a pretty good view of it. So I believe that the girls wanted to start a rebellion against the boys because when T-Dizzle started a army at recess and gathered more 5th grade boys they wouldn’t let the girls play. Therefore Ceci and Sara L started to protest and gather more girls. Then Sara L said “I want to challenge you to a race” but T-Dizzle said “No, let’s have a rap battle” and Sara L said “You're On!” T-Dizzle started first and started with his rap called Hotfire.
These 5th graders may or may not continue this rap battle but either way the rap battle was a great experience for a lot of the 5th graders. And even though T-Dizzle and Big Trouble may not continue the rap battle either they still had a great performance. Everybody will always remember T-Dizzle and Big Trouble’s famous saying “WE WERE SPITTIN STRAIGHT BARS!!!:)
